FDSN Network Information

FDSN code 8H (2012-2012) Network name New Mexico Coupling of Seismic (Dynamics)
Start year 2012 Operated by
End year 2012 Deployment region
Description

An multi-technology experiment (seismic, acoustic, etc) to study the seismo-acoustic source function from above- and below-ground explosions. In addition, the study will involve generation mechanisms of shear waves from explosions in limestone and alluvium. For Phase II, we will conduct additional explosion experiments at the White Sands Missile Range.
