Description

The Graz Inner City Line is an installation in the center of Graz, a city in the province of Styria, Austria.

The measurement line uses dark fibers that interconnect two of the Graz University of Technology's campuses. The fiber, with a total length of 2.6km, is placed directly underneath and along a street with high activity (e.g., cars and tramway lines) during the day.

As part of the Global DAS Campaign 2023, the dataset contains one-hour strain-rate recordings for seismic events encountered during the month of February 2023, as well as one day of continuous data (the 14th of February, 2023). Seismic events were recorded and saved with a sampling rate of 100Hz, whereas the continuous data (14th Feb.) was downsampled to 50Hz. The channel spacing is 9.6 meters in both cases.
