SEISMOMETER TYPE AND ADC:
Streckeisen Model STS-1/VBB 3 component system.
DIGITAL FORMAT:
16 bit integer data words for all components. Range: +32,767 to -32,768 counts.
EVENT DETECTOR ALGORITHIM:
The event detector used for the SHZ channel was developed by G. Holcomb at the ASL
and is not documented. The mid-period channels are detected on a straight forward
amplitude basis.

The Noise Study was done using 1992 data, consequently, it is only an estimation
for this generation of station instrumentation.
COMMENTS:
The original WWSSN seismometers were replaced with Streckeisens to provide
broad-band seismic data.
