Tim and Colleagues of FDSN,
I am very sorry that I will not be able to attend the Cape Town FDSN and
IASPEI meetings. I would have liked to share with you the excellent
advances of real time seismic monitoring in the Caribbean region thanks to
Global, Regional and National initiatives as part of the UNESCO IOC
Intergovernmental Coordinating Group for the Tsunami and Other Coastal
Hazards Warning System for the Caribbean and Adjoining regions. On the
website of the PRSN
http://rmsismo.uprm.edu/Estaciones/estatus.php in the
section of "Sismogramas" you can see a map and current status at the PRSN
and seismograms for these stations (we are still working on the English
version). Hopefully the timing for the next meeting will be better and the
PRSN will be able to participate. I wish you very successful working
sessions,
Christa von Hillebrandt-Andrade
