Dear Working Group 2 and 3 members,
We call on volunteers to develop JSON response format specifications for
the fdsnws-event and fdsnws-station services. The team(s) will evaluate
existing solutions, new possibilities, best practices and to create
specifications for JSON formats that serve FDSN member needs. The
resulting format specifications will be proposed as standards in WG 2, and
incorporated into the service specifications in WG 3 as alternative
response formats in addition to the XML and text formats already
specified. The duration of the work will depend on the team member’s
availability, but is anticipated to be 2-6 months.
