FDSN Network Information

FDSN code 1D (2022-2022) Network name Testing continuous seismic borehole sources at PFO, CA (Borehole source testing at PFO)
Start year 2022 Operated by
  • Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory
End year 2022 Deployment region -
Description

A continuous borehole source will be tested at PFO, CA, to monitor subsurface structural changes with borehole hydrophone arrays and surface sensors. LBNL has hydrophone arrays, but we want to borrow Geode recorders and surface nodal sensors. The source frequency is 1-5 kHz, so SmartSolo would be good.
