Description |
Temporary network of 5 broadband stations (Nanometrics Tirllium 120 PA seismometer and Taurus digitizer). Network is setup on Iceland in collaboration with the Icelandic Meteorological Office to record local seismicity. Heimaey was the location of a volcanic eruption in 1973, and today has low seismic activity. The purpose of the current installation is to improve detection and location capability. |
