Description

The goal of CIELO (which is Spanish for "sky") is to characterize the lithospheric structure and tectonic evolution of eastern Wyoming (Thunder Basin) and the Black Hills region of South Dakota. This particular project is a pilot experiment whose purpose is to acquire the needed data to provide justification for an NSF funded experiment.
