FDSN code 7T (2022-2022) Network name Quantification and identification of erosion processes leading to the retreat of headwall in high alpine environment (Quantification of erosion process)
Start year 2022 Operated by
  • INSTAAR, CU Boulder
End year 2022 Deployment region -
Description

This project wish to understand, quantify and identify the erosion processes controlling the evolution of bear bedrock surface in high alpine catchment. We wish to install to environmental seismological stations close to such landform in the area of Kiowa Peak area during the months of July and August 2022. This will be test of the viability of the method for detection of geomorphic signals in the front range critical zone. The seismological setting will be coupled with in-situ climatic meteorological measurement such as air temperature, moisture, wind direction and intensity and a automatic camera set up.
