Description |
The Newberry Volcano EGS Demonstration was a 5 year field project designed to demonstrate recent technological advances for engineered geothermal systems (EGS) development. A fifteen station array was installed in 2012 to monitor microseismicity induced by hydraulic injection into the geothermal well 55-29. There were two separate phases of well stimulation; Sept. 20 - Dec, 7 2012 and then Sept 22, - Nov. 20, 2014. The network was off from a March 2013 to August 2014. The acquisition software in 2012 and 2013 was Geotech Instruments SMART suite and Earthworm (ISTI) during 2014 and 2015, resulting in different files types (SAC and mseed, respectively). |
