| Description |
The East Antarctica International Ice Sheet Traverse seismic network is a joint French and Italian effort to better sample unexplored areas of the East Antarctic plateau. The seismic station stations were installed as part of East Antarctica International Ice Sheet Traverse (EAIIST) project which aims to study with ground vehicles the geophysical (snow physics, mass balance, density, temperature, seismicity, etc.), geochemical (impurities, aerosols, air-snow transfer, water isotopes) and meteorological (automatic weather stations, atmospheric dynamics) dimensions of the East Antarctic plateau. |
