The magnitude 3.2 Mpape earthquake of 7th September 2018 set the stage for real-time earthquake monitoring within the capital and nationwide by the Nigerian government. The Nigerian Geological Survey Agency (NGSA) have installed four Guralp 3ESPC seismographs purchased since December 2019. The Guralp 3ESPC portable weak motion (broadband) seismometer has 60 s - 100 Hz standard frequency response with 140 dB dynamic range over a wide frequency band |
