| Description |
In July 2024, an optical fiber seismic network is installed for continuous monitoring across the Milun fault for understanding of earthquakes nucleation, propagation and energy partition. The fiber will cover both observation on the hanging wall and on the footwall of the Milun fault as well as borehole on the upper wall reaching a depth of 700 meters and passing through the fault zone. This high-resolution data (both spatial and temporal) is expected to capture velocity changes |
