Following last years New Mexico Techs graduate-level volcano geophysics field course (at Kilauea Volcano, Hawaii) we plan on an international follow-up to be held in Ecuador at Tungurahua Volcano. In summer 2009 we plan to have 20 student participants involved in the deployment, acquisition, processing, and analysis of volcano seismic and acoustic data. This educational course instrument request will be supported through the Vice President for Academic Affairs office at New Mexico Tech. Enrollment will be open to students from other U.S. and foreign universities. |
