End year 2020 Deployment region
Description

We request 3 seismometers to investigate a series of earthquakes along the Sangre de Cristo Fault near the Great Sand Dunes National Park (GSDNP) in South Central Colorado. The sequence started in October 2018 with small felt earthquakes and 100's of earthquakes detected that were not felt. The station SDCO at the GSNDP is the closest station, about 15 km north of the epicenters. The next closest station is over 60 km away so the locations and depth control of these events is very poor. We would deploy for summer 2019, installing soon (spring 2019).
