FDSN Network Information

FDSN code ZM (2016-2016) Network name Colorado Runoff Experiment- Year 2 (CO_Runoff2)
Start year 2016 Operated by
  • Colorado State University (CSU), United States of America
End year 2016 Deployment region -
Description

2-3 Seismic Stations will be located on the upper Colorado River in Rocky
Mountain National Park to capture peak Snowmelt runoff during the
spring/summer of 2016. Pressure transducers and channel geometry will be
monitored concurrently throughout the duration of the experiment. This is a
follow-on experiment to last summer's deployment on the South Fork of the
Poudre River, where seismic noise correlated well with discharge and other
fluvial metrics.
