In order to request a network code, or changes to one, you must be logged in to the fdsn.org system. In addition, only users associated with an existing network (either as the originator of the request that created it, or identified as a principal investigator) may submit changes. If you are responsible for a network and are not currently associated with it, you can request a change by emailing us.
Permanent networks should:
Request a new permanent network code
Short-term deployments, active source experiments, or networks that produce non-SEED (eg. SEGY) data should request a temporary network code.
Request a new temporary network code
If you want to update information for an existing network, navigate to the network’s page listed in the networks list and submit an update from there.
