Vault Conditions: The STS-2 sensor is installed directly on the floor of a cave in a special casing.
Site Description: The station is located in an ancient underground quarry providing a system of huge artificial caves. It is situated about 200 m horizontally distance from the mine entrance and 28 m below surface. The cave system is part of a military area of the Spanish Navy.
