Dear All

We have received a request for membership from Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA).

At our last meeting, we decided that, should we receive applications for membership, we could send out an email for voting.

KMA have agreed ( and currently are) sending data to IRIS. They also agree to provide data using FDSN standards.

Each member of the FDSN will have one vote. A majority of 2/3 voting members will be required for an affirmative vote. Five members of the FDSN will constitute a quorum.

Please could you send me your votes by no later than 17 March 2016 in order for us to make a decision.

Thank you for you cooperation.
Kind regards
michelle

    Hello Michelle

I am familiar with this group, as your note implies, and they are a very good candidate for membership in the FDSN.

IRIS casts its vote to accept them as members of the FDSN.

    Cheers
