FDSN Working Group III on Coordination of Products, Tools and Services

This group was established at the 2007 FDSN meeting in Perugia Italy.

FDSN WGIII will identify standard products that may be produced by FDSN data centers. It will advocate product uniformity and methods of production for FDSN products. It will advocate development and distribution of standard software tools that will support the production of FDSN products.

The goal of FDSN WGIII is to coordinate the creation of uniform products at participating FDSN data centers. It will also attempt to standardize services and share tools that produce FDSN approved products.

The email I sent earlier refers to the email that Chad Trabant sent out a bit before I sent mine. Sorry for not being clearer. Hello WGIII members Please take some time to review the IRIS DMC's recommendations regarding changes to FDSN web services. In general these are small things that improve functionality and usability. Please send your concurrence with the recommendations by the end of the day on October 3, 2013. Please respond to the entire list. I personally support these proposed changes and making them part of the FDSN Standards. Cheers Dr. Tim Ahern Chair, WG III Products, Tools, and Services Intern… [more]
